More Than Magazines: How One Publisher is Bringing the Community Together

January 27, 2020

Best Version Media and the Publishers we work with make a tremendous impact in local  communities across the United States and Canada. Our highly-awarded company culture is best described by our three founding pillars: professional will, compassionate heart and a fun-loving spirit. These core values are built on a strong foundation of humility, and they define who we are as a company. Our culture is felt not only at our headquarters, but in every neighborhood where a BVM publication is delivered.

What makes our product special is that each magazine is tailored specifically to the community it serves. The Publishers we work with are strong community advocates who look to use the BVM platform as a way to help others. Susan Von Behren, who has worked with BVM since 2017, is a prime example of a Publisher using her platform to make a positive impact.

Inside every edition of Susan’s publication, Neighbors of Trent Woods, is a special fire safety message from the West New Bern Fire Department. Her willingness to provide them with an effective media outlet not only keeps residents in the area safe and informed, but it also helps the volunteer fire department earn points from the state of North Carolina to use toward new firefighting equipment.

What’s even more exciting is that Susan’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed! To her great surprise, the fire department awarded her with a Certificate of Appreciation for the continued help and support she offered throughout 2019. She describes her emotions on the night she was recognized for her kindness.

“I almost started to cry because it wasn’t ever something that I expected to receive,” she says.

Susan’s actions embody what our company is all about. Best Version Media is bringing people closer together – one community at a time. The positive impact that BVM Publishers are making in local markets is growing by the day. Our magazines are now distributed to more than 800 North American neighborhoods, and there’s no limit in sight. The BVM culture is felt in hundreds of areas every single day.

We’re excited to continue working with Publishers who want to make a real difference in their communities. If you’d like to build a successful business by bringing a BVM publication to your area, please visit our Apply page to learn more.
