As summer gives way to autumn, families everywhere are settling into new routines. Children are heading back to school, calendars are filling up, and many of us are taking a fresh look at the goals we set earlier in the year. September offers more than a change in seasons—it offers an opportunity for a fresh start.

It’s also one of the best times to revisit your financial plan.

Have your goals changed? Has your family welcomed a new child or grandchild? Are you approaching retirement sooner than expected? Could you benefit from year-end tax-saving strategies before the calendar turns? Sometimes a simple conversation can uncover opportunities that make a meaningful difference.

What if your financial advisor understood not only money, but also life’s most difficult moments?

For much of my professional life, I stood at the bedside of patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, caring for individuals facing critical illness and supporting families during times of uncertainty. Later, as a Medical Science Liaison, I partnered with physicians and healthcare professionals across the country, translating complex medical science into practical knowledge that improved patient care. Those experiences changed me.

I witnessed families who had prepared for life’s unexpected challenges—and others who had not. I saw how quickly a medical diagnosis, disability, or unexpected loss could reshape a family’s financial future. It became clear that while we can’t predict every challenge, we can prepare for them.

That realization inspired my transition into financial services with The Miliare Group. Today, I help individuals, families, and business owners create financial strategies designed to protect what they’ve worked so hard to build while preparing for a secure retirement and a lasting legacy.

Education has always been one of my greatest passions. I earned an MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior and later completed my Ph.D. in Management and Organizational Leadership. Those academic experiences strengthened my ability to analyze complex situations, develop thoughtful strategies, and, most importantly, educate others. Yet the most important title I hold isn’t “Doctor,” “Financial Strategist,” or even “Healthcare Professional.” It’s Mom. And now, Grandma.

My two incredible daughters and my three beautiful grandchildren are the reason I am so passionate about helping families prepare for the future. Every financial decision we make today has the potential to impact generations tomorrow. Whether it’s protecting your family with life insurance, creating tax-efficient retirement income, planning for long-term financial security, or leaving a meaningful legacy, these conversations are deeply personal to me because I have the same hopes for my own family.

I believe financial planning should never feel intimidating. My role isn’t to pressure people into making decisions. It’s to listen, educate, and help clients understand their options so they can make confident choices that align with their goals and values. My goal is to simplify complicated financial concepts, answer your questions honestly, and design strategies tailored specifically to your unique circumstances.

As the year enters its final chapter, don’t wait until December to ask whether you’re on track. Early autumn is an ideal time to evaluate your retirement strategy, review beneficiaries, explore tax-efficient opportunities, and make thoughtful adjustments while there’s still time to benefit from them.

Your dreams are different. Your family is different. Your financial strategy should be just as unique..

If you’ve been wondering whether you’re truly prepared for retirement, if your current financial strategy isn’t working as hard as you are, or if you’d simply like a second opinion from someone who values education, integrity, and relationships, I’d love the opportunity to meet you.

The greatest rewards in life aren’t measured only by what we accumulate. They’re measured by the people we protect, the opportunities we create, and the legacy we leave behind.

This fall, as you establish new routines for yourself and those you love, consider making one more appointment…one that could benefit your family for years to come. Let’s build that legacy together.
