Welcome to summer! As the flower and plant season slows down, the market and farmers turn our attention to the produce season!

In the market, we sell a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, focusing on locally grown produce as much as possible, and you can’t get any more local than our own backyard!

When you see the signs in the market that say “Draudt’s Own”, you know that the item came from the beautiful farmland surrounding the market, that the Draudts have farmed for over 100 years!  We grow lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, and, of course, our amazing corn!

“Homegrown” written on a sign indicates it comes from the Niagara Frontier. We’re so blessed to have rich farmland across the region. Because of its position on the Great Lakes, Niagara County produce is often available a bit earlier than here, so we’re able to bring you that goodness sooner. They also have fantastic orchards that provide us with a variety of delicious fruits! Similarly, there are wonderful growing areas to our south-think of those amazing vineyards in Chautauqua County that supply our market throughout the summer.

If the fruit or veggie simply has its name, that came from where they grow well.

Lemons, limes, and bananas all require a little more room and warmth than our greenhouses can provide!

In the meantime, the farmers are out in the fields every day tending to the crops! Each type of plant has distinct needs, from water to fertilizer, to the tying of cauliflower to keep it white. And Mother Nature throws curveballs at them every day. Heavy rain may be a blessing for one crop but devastating for another. But the farmers persist, get up every day to meet the challenges, and proudly bring you the best produce in WNY!

We welcome you to come over and talk produce with us! We’re passionate about what we do, providing you with a great selection of the best produce we grow and source.
