We Want to Be the Best House Guests You’ll Ever Hire

Why great painting is only the starting line, and what every homeowner should be able to expect from a professional painting company.

Ask anyone about their last experience with a contractor and watch their face change. The no-show. The job that never quite got finished. Paint on the floor, dust on everything, a final bill that didn’t match the quote. Most homeowners have learned to expect a little heartburn when they hire someone to work on their house.

We think that’s a low bar, and we’re raising it.

High-quality painting is table stakes.

This might sound odd coming from a painting company, but great painting isn’t what makes us special. Clean lines, an even finish, color that holds up for years; that’s not the prize. That’s the minimum. If you can’t do clean, lasting work, you shouldn’t be charging professional rates for it. Good painting is just what we owe you. What actually separates one company from another is everything that happens around the work. It comes down to trust.

So here’s how we earn it.

What We Do Differently

We show our work. Our projects, our reviews, and our crews are all out in the open, on Google, social media, and YouTube. We’re proud of our team and our work.

We don’t take deposits. You pay when the job is done and you’re five-star happy with the finish.

We don’t use untrained laborers. Our painters are our company. We work together full-time and year-round. We are one team, and we love what we do.

We tell you the truth, the good and the bad. We can promise that if something goes wrong, you’ll hear about it from us, and we’ll fix it before we call the job done. All of our work comes with a 3-year warranty as well.

We grew up here, we live here, and we’re not going anywhere. This is our community, and we spend real time giving back to it—painting temporary housing shelters, police stations, high schools, and homes for neighbors who need a hand.

We’re the best house guests ever.

That’s our motto, and we mean it. When you let someone into your home, you want a good guest: someone who respects your space, keeps you in the loop, cleans up after themselves, and leaves the place better than they found it. A good guest doesn’t stick you with a mess or a surprise. They make you glad you opened the door. That’s how we show up on every single job.

Raising the bar, for all of us.

None of this is unique to painting. Plumbers, electricians, remodelers, landscapers; we all rely on the same thing, which is whether people can trust us. Every homeowner ought to be able to hire help without bracing for the worst.

And our goal is bigger than any single job. We want to bring some trust and respect back to the trades, and make a great experience the rule instead of the exception. If that pushes other companies to step up too, even better.

Next time you hire a business to work on your home, That 1 Painter or otherwise, ask for more. Professional work should be a given, and so should being treated well. The bar ought to be a lot higher than it’s been, and we’re doing our best to raise it.
