At Alpha Building Center, our tagline is simple: Locally Owned. Community Grown. Those four words are the way we try to do business every day.
Being locally owned is easy enough to understand. We’re your neighbors. We live here, raise our families here, and care about what happens in our communities. But “Community Grown” means something more. It reflects the idea that our success has always been tied to the people around us. The relationships we’ve built over the years with customers, local businesses, and organizations have helped shape who we are. We believe that when a community invests in one another, everyone grows stronger.
That’s one of the reasons we’re excited to take part in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County’s BBQ & Brews fundraiser on August 8. Supporting organizations that invest in young people has always been important to us, and this event is a fun opportunity to give back while celebrating everything that makes our area special.
Of course, we couldn’t resist putting our own spin on the burger competition.
Instead of simply creating the biggest or fanciest burger, we asked ourselves what a “Community Grown” burger should look like. The answer was obvious: start local. Our burger features beef from locally owned farms, topped with fresh ingredients sourced from local growers whenever possible. Every bite is a reminder that our communities are filled with hardworking people who support one another every day.
For us, this isn’t just about serving a great burger. It’s about celebrating the farmers who raise our food, the organizations that invest in the next generation, and the neighbors who continue to support local businesses like ours.
That’s what “Community Grown” means to us. It’s more than a slogan. It’s a reminder that when we choose to support each other, everyone benefits. That’s something worth celebrating… one burger at a time.
