If you’ve ever gone down the Google rabbit hole trying to figure out hemp, CBD, or THC… bless your heart. One website says one thing, TikTok says another, and suddenly you’re more confused than when you started.
Let’s bust a few of the biggest myths we hear every day.
Myth #1: Hemp affects everyone the same way.
Not exactly. Hemp products come in all kinds of formulations, and every body is different. Your metabolism, serving size, the type of cannabinoids in the product, and even whether you’ve eaten lunch can all play a role. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, which is why education is so important.
Myth #2: CBD works instantly.
Sometimes it can, but not always. Think of CBD more like supporting your wellness routine than flipping a light switch. Many people notice the biggest difference after using it consistently, not just once.
Myth #3: More THC = better results.
This one gets people all the time! More isn’t always better. In fact, some of our happiest customers use surprisingly small amounts. Finding your “sweet spot” is usually much more enjoyable than jumping straight to the highest potency available.
Myth #4: All hemp products are basically the same.
We wish it were that simple. Quality can vary a lot depending on where the hemp is grown, how it’s extracted, the ingredients used, and whether it’s been independently tested. Two products with similar labels can deliver very different experiences.
Myth #5: If it’s sold online, it’s been tested.
Unfortunately… nope. Before buying any hemp product, look for a current Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an independent third-party lab. A COA verifies what’s actually in the product and confirms it’s been tested for potency and common contaminants. If a company can’t provide one, that’s a pretty good sign to keep scrolling.
At the end of the day, hemp shouldn’t feel intimidating. It should feel empowering. The more you understand what you’re putting into your body, the more confident you’ll be in choosing products that fit your lifestyle and your goals.
There may always be myths floating around the internet, but good information never goes out of style. And if nothing else, remember this: don’t believe everything you read online… especially if it’s trying to convince you that bigger is always better.
