This Kentlands home, built in 1992, was in need of exterior updates. The original Masonite siding and wood trim required a lot of maintenance and the owner knew it was time for a transformation.

Along with leaking, rotting windows, the siding was deteriorating and exposing the sheathing beneath. The Kentlands Community Association, the community’s homeowners association, has strict requirements, and materials must meet the neighborhood’s high standards in their construction and appearance.
Hardie siding, which has a wood-like appearance, and Pella windows were the approved replacement materials for this project. The owners considered several colors, but decided Deep Ocean was the best option for their home.
Beneath the Hardie plank cedarmill siding, Hardie house wrap was also installed to create a thermal barrier. Hardie products are an excellent way to create the look of wood without the maintenance. Pella Lifestyle windows were installed to improve energy efficiency and reduce maintenance.
This customer now has a beautiful, low maintenance exterior.
