Feeling Comfy, Cozy and Rodent Free in Your Home

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope everyone had a Happy, Safe and pest free Holiday season!! 

The temperatures are dropping, the snow is falling, you and your family have nestled safely inside. Some folks are even cozy around a warm fire.

That sounds so nice.

Unfortunately, other animals like rodents are also looking for places to nestle in and to stay warm. Rodents such as mice leave us signs that they are here. People may see droppings, where others may hear scratching noises. 

Rodents are uniquely different in their behavioral patterns, between each species, from how they travel and nest, to how they communicate. I am not going to bore everyone on the specifics, however as someone with vast experience in construction on structures and a 20-year background in pest and wildlife control, I can tell you that rodents will find a possible point of entry if there is one. 

Rodents such as mice and rats are mostly blind as they cannot see past thirty inches in front of their faces and are color blind. That makes them highly in tune with their other senses. 

Rats can fit through an opening the size of a quarter, and mice can fit into a space the size of a dime. This makes it difficult to find these areas.

I have personally done several projects to eliminate movement and solve concerns such as building Rodent walls around sheds and structures, and sealing up minor entry points in foundations, brick and in the living space.
