Grown as Nature Intended: Exceptional Mushrooms Cultivated for Flavor, Freshness, and Wellness

We never imagined that mushrooms would become our passion. Back in 2017, I fell down the rabbit hole of learning about mushroom cultivation, and by 2021, Corina and I had transformed our Bear Valley Springs property into a thriving mushroom farm. When our first harvest impressed a friend who immediately wanted to buy all of them, we realized we had something special.

Today, we grow varieties you’ll rarely find in stores: delicate lion’s mane, vibrant blue and golden oyster, nutty chestnut, meaty king trumpet, earthy pioppino, and robust shiitake. The difference between our mushrooms and commercial varieties isn’t just about taste, it’s about freshness. We harvest and deliver the same day, sometimes within hours. You simply can’t get fresher than that.

Inside our cultivation facility, we handle every stage with meticulous care—from inoculating organic grain spawn with mycelium to monitoring the grow room where mushrooms emerge from sawdust-filled bags.

We even grind our own organic wheat bran to avoid any glyphosate contamination. Every mushroom that leaves our property meets our exacting standards.

But we’re not just growing food, we’re cultivating wellness. Mushrooms are nutritional powerhouses, packed with mood-boosting B-vitamins, immune-supporting vitamin D, and beneficial polysaccharides.

Bryce also crafts medicinal tinctures from lion’s mane (studied for brain health support), turkey tail (known for immune function), and reishi (traditionally used for wellness support).

Whether you’re a gourmand seeking culinary adventure or simply want to elevate weeknight dinners, our oyster mushrooms shine in everything from decadent mascarpone dip to simple butter-and-sage sautés that let their earthy flavors speak for themselves.

We pour our hearts into every harvest because we believe you deserve mushrooms that taste like they came straight from the forest floor—because essentially, they did.

Contact us through our website www.bearvalleymushrooms.com to subscribe for weekly deliveries, pick up directly at our Bear Valley Springs cultivation facility, or find us at local Tehachapi markets.

Once you experience truly fresh, locally grown gourmet mushrooms, there’s no going back.
