Winter Wine & Warm Gatherings at Stokelan Estate Winery
A new year on the farm always brings a fresh sense of possibility. January marks the start of our dormant pruning season, and while it may sound surprising, it’s one of our favorite times of the year. There’s something peaceful about working among bare vines and quiet fields, knowing that spring is just around the corner. By the time March arrives, the days stretch a little longer, the air softens, and the promise of warmer weather feels close enough to touch. Even standing in a little snow now and then has a way of stirring up those hopeful, almost dreamy thoughts of what’s ahead.
So how do we beat the winter blues before spring makes its big return? We make the season cozy, welcoming, and full of reasons to gather.
January
This month, we’re excited to introduce Lounge 1853 — a brand-new experience inside our winery farmhouse. It’s a warm, relaxed space where you can enjoy exclusive wine cocktails, shareable small plates, and an elevated ambiance. Bring some friends and play table games, listen to vinyl records, and cozy up on the couch. You might even get access to the Hidden Menu – if you know the password. Lounge 1853 is open Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm-close. Reservations are not required.
February
We’re officially celebrating Galentine’s Day this year at Stokelan, with fun activities and hands-on workshops planned for the weekend of February 5-7. Guests are encouraged to RSVP for all workshops. Register online at stokelanwinery.com
Valentine’s Day will also be in full swing, featuring a special prix-fixe dinner showcasing local ingredients and, of course, our wines. Gentle nudge to the guys out there: reservations fill up fast, so plan ahead.
March and Beyond
As spring approaches, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about celebrations. We’re now booking events for the upcoming season, including bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, corporate gatherings, and more.
For the men planning to pop the question in 2026, we can help create unforgettable proposals with vineyard views, sunset backdrops, and a glass of celebratory wine in hand — that part we do very well.
Our incredible events team, Deb and Shannon, is ready to help bring your vision to life. From bridal and baby showers to full-scale weddings, they love customizing each event to make it personal and memorable — and they’re always happy to sneak couples into the vineyard for photos when they think no one’s watching.
