Summer Camp Adventures in Learning and Fun at The Goddard School of Medford

Back to Articles

At The Goddard School of Medford, summer is a time for exploration, creativity, and discovery in a safe, nurturing environment. The school’s summer camp program includes engaging activities designed to keep children active, build friendships, and continue learning while school is out.

Rooted in STEAM-based learning — science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics — our camp introduces children to hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and imagination. Each week, campers participate in a wide variety of activities that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and creative expression.

Campers also enjoy special traditions throughout the week, including outdoor water-play days that help them stay cool and active, as well as fun group experiences that foster a sense of belonging and community.

Another highlight of the program is the variety of special visitors invited to enrich the camp experience! Children will interact with guests, including:

  • Jake Strong Magic Show
  • Digger and David Puppet Show
  • Science with Nature Jack
  • Fit 4 Kids – Physical Fitness Program
  • Meg’s Melodies – Musical Showcase
  • Currier’s Super Bubble Fun Time Show
  • Foam Dance Party
  • Dare and Fire Truck visits
  • Blow-Up Planetarium
  • Big Foot Soccer (8 sessions)
  • Kona Shaved Ice
  • Ice Cream Truck
  • St. Jude Trike-A-Thon
  • AND MUCH MORE

These visits introduce campers to new interests and real-world connections in an exciting, age-appropriate way.

As campers enjoy the excitement of summer, learning remains an important part of the experience. Teachers incorporate language-rich conversations and creative storytelling to strengthen vocabulary, listening skills, and self-expression. Math concepts are reinforced through counting games, sorting, measuring, building, and simple problem-solving woven into daily projects. This thoughtful blend of play and instruction keeps young minds active over the summer months, helping children maintain progress and return to school feeling secure in their abilities and ready to succeed.

Above all, the summer camp experience is designed to help children develop independence and confidence as they try new activities and navigate daily routines. Families can feel assured that their children are spending their summer in a supportive environment where learning continues naturally through play, exploration, and guided discovery.

We are now enrolling for summer camp for ages 6 weeks to 7 years. For more information about The Goddard School of Medford and summer camp enrollment options, please visit GoddardSchool.com, follow us on social media @medfordgoddardschool, or call 609-714-8686.
