I am Delvon Jones, the owner of Diligent Enterprises, and my connection to Northern Utah runs deep. My journey here began when I attended Weber Basin Job Corps, and it was there that my path truly took shape. At Job Corps, I had the privilege of learning from Jason Talbot. He was my bricklaying instructor at the time, and today he serves as the center director. Jason played a pivotal role in shaping my approach to work and life. He instilled in me the importance of hard work, consistency, and discipline. These lessons built upon everything I had learned growing up and gave me the foundation I needed.
I began my career in bricklaying, but my interests expanded. I was drawn to construction, landscaping, and heavy equipment work. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects like runway lighting and power systems for government sites. Each job helped me refine my skills and taught me the importance of precision, focus, and delivering results. But deep down, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.
That’s when I created Diligent Enterprises. Today, I specialize in designing and installing hardscapes and xeriscapes. In Utah, where water conservation is critical, I help families create beautiful yet sustainable outdoor spaces. Whether it’s a fire pit, a patio, or a full landscape transformation, I’m committed to delivering spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
But my work isn’t just about landscapes; it’s about family. As a husband and father of two boys and a daughter, I understand the importance of bringing people together. I want to create spaces where families can gather, share moments, and build memories. Whether it’s a weekend barbecue or a quiet evening by the fire, I take pride in knowing that my work helps create these connections.
I’m a straight shooter. If something isn’t right, I fix it. I believe in honesty, transparency, and doing right by my clients. This isn’t just business to me—it’s personal.
