Happy spring, Providence Plantation! We hope you are as excited as we are for April showers and May flowers, sunshine and warmth. Sadly, most of us spend more of our time looking outside rather than being outside so we want to be sure your home is comfortable and ready for the hot summer ahead.
With that in mind, there are some exciting changes coming in the heating and cooling industry. The change has to do with AI and that term brings mixed emotions for sure. But this particular use of AI has us excited at Charlotte Heating & Air because it should allow us to take even better are of our clients.
Many manufacturers now, like Trane, have started “remote diagnostics”. Wifi thermostats and advanced heating and air equipment allow us to view a system’s health remotely and even receive notifications when something has gone awry. Knowing a system is malfunctioning before the household gets home in the evening is a huge advantage. Depending on the system, the company can control the thermostat (with the homeowner’s permission) and start the diagnosis process before a technician can even arrive at the home.
Honeywell (a common thermostat and heating and air component brand) has started using AI in building management, so it is logical to expect an AI to diagnose a heating and air system in the not-too-distant future. Often this means that you will save money on that initial trip fee and it allows us to come with the part needed for repair on the first trip.
If any of this interests you, or if you are in need of any heating and air conditioning services, please give us a call! Our goal is to always take care of the client’s needs and put you first. So, as you may imagine, the future of HVAC is exciting as we use these tools to serve you. Until then, from our family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful spring and summer seasons. Appreciate the little things this season knowing your home is cared for by our expert team.
