Meet Rachael Lambert, FNP-C, Ed.

Back to Articles

In a field where compassion and expertise must go hand in hand, Rachael Lambert, FNP-C, Ed., has built a career rooted in both faith and service. A devoted Christian, wife, and mother of three, Rachael’s journey into healthcare began long before she ever stepped into a clinical setting. Growing up as the daughter of a pastor, she was immersed in a life centered on church, mission work, and serving others. That foundation not only shaped her character but also inspired her calling to become a nurse—a profession she has faithfully served in for the past 15 years.

Rachael knew from an early age that nursing was her path. After graduating high school, she went straight into nursing school and completed her training by the age of 21. As she gained experience and confidence in her role, she realized her potential to make an even greater impact. This led her to pursue advanced education, where she double majored in Nursing Education and Family Nurse Practitioner studies. While continuing her own education, she also spent five years teaching at Alcorn’s nursing program, helping shape and inspire the next generation of nurses.

Education—both for students and patients—has become one of Rachael’s greatest passions. She believes that empowering individuals with knowledge about their health is key to improving their quality of life. Her approach goes beyond simply treating symptoms; she takes the time to ensure her patients feel heard, valued, and understood. For Rachael, caring for others is not just a profession, but a reflection of her spiritual walk and her desire to be a light in the lives of those she serves.

Throughout her career, Rachael has gained a wide range of clinical experience. She spent over two years working at Natchez After Hours Clinic under the guidance of Dr. Daly and Dr. Mire, where she treated a variety of conditions including lacerations, minor procedures, gynecological concerns, upper respiratory illnesses, and primary care needs. Today, at Borum Family Health Clinic, she continues to care for a diverse patient population, from children to elderly individuals.

What Rachael enjoys most about her current role is the opportunity to build meaningful, one-on-one relationships with her patients. In a primary care setting, she is able to truly get to know the individuals she treats, understanding not just their medical needs, but their personal stories as well. This connection allows her to provide more personalized and effective care.

Her approach to patient care is grounded in empathy and understanding. Rachael strives to create a judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. She recognizes that healthcare is not one-size-fits-all, and she works closely with each patient to develop a plan that aligns with their preferences—whether that involves traditional medicine, more natural approaches, or a combination of both.

Outside of her professional life, Rachael cherishes time with her husband, Lance, and their three children, Ginna, Levi, and Caroline. She is actively involved in her church community, singing on the praise team at First Baptist Church Natchez and playing the piano at Cliff Temple Baptist Church, where her father pastors. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, singing, cooking, and baking for her family.

With a heart for service and a commitment to excellence, Rachael Lambert continues to make a meaningful impact in her community—guiding patients not only in their healthcare journeys, but also in feeling truly cared for along the way.
