Summer is almost here, and it is not too early to start planning for your upcoming calendar of events. After being cooped up over a very long winter, the anticipation of a fantastic Michigan summer is exciting for everyone. There are so many things to do in this state, and we are fortunate to have a variety of choices, day-trips, weekend get-aways, festivals, and lake vacations.
Of course, you will want to take your pup with you to dog-friendly destinations whenever you can, but we know that is not always possible. Long, sunny days on a sandy beach may seem heavenly to us, but many popular beaches are not dog friendly. Most vacation rentals do not allow dogs either. Boarding is a popular option here and the summer weekends fill up fast, especially holidays. Please make your boarding reservations as soon as possible. If you are planning a graduation or birthday party, you may want to consider giving your dog the safety of Camp Bow Wow’s daycare services. We are climate-controlled and have lots of fun activities on the calendar for your pup’s getaway. If you are going to be gone for the entire day, just bring your dog’s food and we will be happy to feed them breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
Our bone-shaped pools will be filled and ready to go for all dog sizes. Pool parties and grill days are in the works for a puptastic summer experience. We have included equipment for both individual and small-group agility activities. We can all look forward to long, sunny days filled with warm memories and good times.
