“Behind every 5-star review is an average person. Behind every plaque on the wall is a list of clients who were injured, overwhelmed, and searching for answers. The three Best of State categories tell that story.”

When I learned that ReshLaw Accident & Injury had won three separate Best of State awards in 2025, my first response to founder Resh Jefferies was something along the lines of, “Really? So, you basically won Utah’s Triple Crown?”

I know, I know, it’s a terrible dad joke. And cheap jokes rarely make great article titles. But the more I thought about it, the more appropriate it seemed.

For those unfamiliar with horse racing, the American Triple Crown is awarded when a single 3-year-old horse and rider win three of the sport’s most prestigious races in the same season. A rare feat that requires talent, endurance, consistency, and more-than-a-little bit of grit. In 2025, ReshLaw–after its third year–earned Best of State honors in Dispute Resolution & Mediation, Conflict Resolution, and Victim Advocacy. Even more impressive, ReshLaw was the only personal injury law firm in Utah to receive any Best of State award.

As if three Best of State awards weren’t enough, the firm also earned Gold for Best Personal Injury Law Firm in the Best of Salt Lake awards.

What makes ReshLaw’s success especially remarkable is the pace at which the firm has grown. Since opening its Murray headquarters three and a half years ago, the firm has opened additional offices in Lehi and Tooele, and is in the process of expanding its HQ in Murray.

Resh and I occasionally joke about the television series Better Call Saul. Most personal injury attorneys would probably prefer not to be compared to Jimmy McGill, better known as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad, the show’s lovable, creative (and occasionally ethically questionable) attorney. But if there is a comparison to be made, ReshLaw’s growth story actually reminds me more of Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill (HHM), the respected law firm founded by Saul’s older brother, Charles.

While HHM spent decades building its reputation, ReshLaw has managed to establish itself as a recognized and award-winning firm in just a few short years. The difference is that Resh was never looking to inherit a large, established firm. He built one.

Of course, awards and office expansions don’t happen by accident.

Behind every 5-star review is an average person. Behind every plaque on the wall is a list of clients who were injured, overwhelmed, and searching for answers. The three Best of State categories tell that story. Victim Advocacy recognizes the firm’s commitment to standing beside injured individuals. Conflict Resolution and Dispute Resolution & Mediation highlight the ability to navigate difficult situations and achieve meaningful outcomes for clients when it matters most.

As 2026 unfolds, ReshLaw shows no signs of slowing down. The firm currently has three attorneys and expects to add a fourth in the near future. Her name is Lauren.

And if you’re a Better Call Saul fan, you may be wondering if ReshLaw has found its own Kim Wexler. Time will tell.

What we do know is that the critics gave raving reviews for Season 1 of ReshLaw’s story. Stay tuned for Season 2.
