When the Minnesota State Fair commercials start airing, you know one thing is certain, fall is just around the corner. Back-to-school ads appear, Halloween décor fills the stores, and before you know it, everyone is thinking about cooler weather. Like it or not, it’s unavoidable!
In the clothing industry, we’re always one season ahead. Our fall merchandise begins arriving as early as July, and while the warm weather often sticks around through September, it’s actually one of the best times to shop. Summer clearance is in full swing, giving you great deals on warm-weather clothing while new fall arrivals hit the floor each week. Our goal at Bill’s Toggery is to have our fall collection fully stocked by October 1st.
So, what’s trending this fall?
We’re seeing plenty of rich textures, shirt jackets, lightweight jackets, and versatile vests. Earth tones like olive, brown, tan, and camel continue to dominate, creating timeless looks that work almost anywhere.
Many of our customers are looking for clothing that’s polished enough for the office but comfortable enough for dinner, travel, or a weekend out.
One of our best-selling pieces continues to be the five-pocket dress pant, a dress pant designed with the comfort and styling of your favorite jeans. Pair them with a soft jacket, vest, or shirt jacket, and you’ve got a modern look that’s comfortable without sacrificing style.
Quarter-zips remain popular, but we’re seeing dressier hoodies quickly becoming a favorite. If you’re in my generation (I’m 56!), some of these newer styles may seem unfamiliar. That’s where we come in. Our team enjoys helping men find updated looks that feel current and comfortable, without trying to dress like they’re 25.
