Texture layering
Some of the most beautiful rooms aren’t defined by bold color and large statements. They’re elevated with texture. Natural wood, woven materials, mixed sheens, natural stone, patterns, and varying metals all work together to create spaces that feel rich and inviting. Layering textures adds visual interest while maintaining a calm, cohesive palette, making a room feel collected rather than overly designed.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper has become one of our favorite ways to introduce personality into a home. Whether it’s a subtle grasscloth, a timeless botanical print, or a classic stripe, wallpaper brings warmth, pattern, and dimension in a way paint alone cannot. We especially love incorporating it in powder rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and even ceilings for an unexpected design moment.
Zellige tile
Handcrafted Zellige tile continues to be a favorite because of its beautiful imperfections. Its variation in color, texture, and sheen gives walls and backsplashes depth, making even the simplest palette feel special. It’s a material that adds a custom quality to a room.
Lighting as a design feature
Lighting should do more than simply illuminate a space. It should hold a similar weight to other details and finishes. For instance, we’re often opting for mini semi-flush or flush-mount fixtures rather than recessed can lights. These decorative fixtures add character, create visual rhythm, and make the lighting plan feel thoughtful and intentional throughout the home.
Warm, cohesive color palettes
We’re seeing a continued shift away from cool grays and stark whites in favor of warmer neutrals, soft creams, muted palettes, and natural tones. Beyond the colors themselves, we’re thoughtfully repeating these hues throughout a home – on walls, millwork, cabinetry, and furnishings – to create a sense of continuity. A cohesive palette allows each room to feel connected while giving the entire home a serene feel.
