Downtown Orinda is getting closer to welcoming a vibrant new community gathering space known as CreekHaus, thoughtfully envisioned as Orinda’s new backyard. Designed to bring neighbors together from morning until evening, this new town landmark promises a warm, family-friendly hub for relaxation, connection, and shared local experiences.
Behind the scenes, local design-build firm Paymun and founder Ben Zarrin have been working closely alongside city staff, engineers, consultants, and local subcontractors to bring this vision to life. While the construction timeline has evolved as work moves forward, the team’s dedication remains unchanged. Every decision is being made with care to ensure the final space is resilient, beautiful, and built for the long haul.
Excitement is building for the multi-phase rollout. The first phase will feature a fantastic lineup for the neighborhood, including craft coffee from Equator Coffees, educational space at Launchpad Learning, the CreekHaus Beer Garden featuring PizzaHacker, and the new headquarters for Paymun. A dedicated bistro and cocktail lounge will follow in a subsequent phase, rounding out the full day-to-night experience where locals can enjoy food, beverages, and live music.
