September 15 is National Voter Registration Day, which symbolizes a national effort to register voters and provide the resources needed to prepare for the upcoming 2026 General Election.
It is an honor to serve as Supervisor of Elections for Collier County—one of the most active counties for voter turnout in Florida. Throughout the entire month of September, our Elections Team will be deployed across the county including at local government offices, libraries and the Naples Zoo to assist Collier residents with registering to vote, updating their voter registration and requesting their Vote-by-Mail ballot for the upcoming election.
We will also kick off our Annual High School Voter Registration Challenge in September. This challenge allows our staff to visit local high schools and educate juniors and seniors about the importance of being active voters in their community. The challenge also includes a voter registration drive for citizens who are at least 16 years old. Since the inaugural challenge in 2013, thousands of students have registered or pre-registered to vote through this program.
Voting is one of our most fundamental rights as American citizens, and although our office registers voters every day, National Voter Registration Day reminds us to be active and informed when it comes to elections. So don’t forget to register to vote, check the status of your voter registration and make any updates or changes to your voter information including updates to your signature, name and address.

Voter Registration Deadline – October 5
Vote-by-Mail Request Deadline – October 22 at 5pm
Early Voting in Collier County – October 22-31, 9am-6pm
Election Day – November 3, 7am-7pm
