Days are getting shorter as we squeeze out the last of this weather, which means it’s time to clean up the outdoor spaces before it gets cold. The garden beds are starting to show signs of fatigue as we scramble to get ready for fall.
There is an old idea I keep coming back to: everything has its season. A time to plant. And a time to harvest. We love the first part. Growth, hustle, chase the next PR. Nobody wants to talk about the other half!
But look outside. Those garden beds aren’t dying, they’re resting. Looks like nothing’s happening. It’s actually the opposite — the ground is doing the most important work of the whole year, and it’s doing it by shutting down for a while. You can’t keep pulling nutrients out of soil and never let it recover. The same goes for you.

If your last big goal just wrapped up and instead of feeling fired up you feel wiped out, that’s not you slipping. That’s just the season you’re in.
Here’s the thing though — resting doesn’t mean you disappear. A field still gets tended in the off season, just differently. Same with you and SISU. Every time you walk through our doors, even on the days you don’t feel like it, you’re planting something. Doesn’t look like much at the moment. One class, one Tuesday, nothing to post about. But it’s discipline that’s planted for a harvest you won’t see for years — being able to keep up with your kids, get through a long hike, keep your head clear when things get hard. That kind of longevity isn’t instant. It takes patience. It takes actually showing up when you don’t want to.
And look, we know figuring out what to do and when is half the battle. So we took that part off your plate. Eight classes a day, real coaches, no program to build yourself, no guesswork. You just show up.

Plant the seed now. Let it do its work. The harvest comes later.
