From One Mother’s Prayer to a Purpose-Driven Local Wellness Brand
I never set out to build a business.
Like many moms, I was simply trying to keep my family healthy, especially during cold and flu season. I wanted ingredients I could trust, a product my children would actually take, and something that supported the body gently rather than forcing it. But before any of that, there was a moment of desperation.
Years ago, my husband was facing health challenges, and our family was under financial strain. I remember dropping to my knees and asking God for a way to support my family. At the same time, I was a mom who believed deeply in natural wellness and wanted better control over what went into our bodies.
That prayer led me back to something simple: elderberries.
I had used elderberry syrup years earlier while pregnant with my son and experienced firsthand how powerfully it supported my body. So, I decided to make my own, sourcing organic European elderberries, whole spices, and local raw honey. I brewed it slowly on my stove, poured it into mason jars, and shared my story online.
What happened next surprised me.
Friends began asking for jars. Then friends of friends. As I read their messages, it became clear, this was the answer to my prayer. God wasn’t just helping my family; He was calling us to serve others.
Those early days were long nights at the kitchen counter, labels on the table, and kids asleep upstairs. But every jar felt meaningful. What started as a personal wellness practice became The POWER of Elderberries® – a local brand rooted in faith, integrity, and intentional living.
Today, we handcraft our elderberry products using five simple ingredients, cold-filled to preserve their natural goodness. We operate from an FDA-registered, woman-owned facility right here in our community, and we’re honored to serve families nationwide. But our heart has never changed.
We believe wellness should be consistent, simple, and rooted in trust, not fear. We believe in supporting the body daily, not waiting for emergencies. And above all, we believe that when something works for your family, it’s worth sharing.
This work is more than a business to us, it’s a calling. And we’re deeply grateful to be part of a community that values health, faith, and intentional living.
