DW Travel Club recently returned from an unforgettable “Grab Your Gals” getaway March 9-13 aboard the Celebrity Reflection, and what a fabulous four days it was! Departing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, this fun-filled cruise beautifully blended relaxation, adventure, family, and friendship—proving that even a short escape can create lasting memories and meaningful connections.

From the moment we boarded, the excitement was contagious. Whether traveling with longtime friends, family, or meeting new companions along the way, the spirit of togetherness defined this special group experience. It didn’t take long for strangers to become friends and for laughter to fill every corner of the ship.
Our first stop-vibrant Key West, which offered something for everyone. Some travelers explored the island on a bicycle tour, enjoying scenic coastal views and charming streets lined with pastel homes. Others could choose the iconic trolley tour to take in the island’s history and highlights or a visit to the famous Hemingway House for an added literary touch. Many enjoyed shopping local boutiques, and Key West’s lively bar scene. From frozen drinks to classic island cocktails, it was a day full of sunshine, energy, and exploration.
Next, we arrived in beautiful Bimini, Bahamas—a tropical gem known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and laid-back charm. A special highlight was having a fellow traveler who once called the Bahamas home. She arranged a golf cart rental and guided a group around the island, sharing local favorites—including where to find the best coconut rum, which quickly became a group favorite. Others relaxed at the Resorts World Bimini Beach Club, enjoying the pristine beach, infinity pool, and peaceful island atmosphere.
Back on board the Celebrity Reflection, the experience continued to impress. Our group began with a special evening at Murano, the ship’s signature French restaurant. We enjoyed a private dining room and a beautifully curated three-course meal, with select dishes prepared tableside—an elegant and memorable start to the cruise.
Dining options onboard were exceptional, offering something for every palate—from sushi and Italian favorites to the interactive Le Petit Chef dinner show. The Opus Main Dining Room also delivered consistently excellent meals and service, making each evening feel special. Guests also enjoyed the onboard entertainment, including comedy and magician shows, along with live music throughout the ship and in the bars for added nightlife. Some standout highlights were the crew vs. passenger’s pool volleyball game, the Big Bingo game and the always-fun Silent Disco—an energetic way to celebrate our final day at sea.
What truly set this cruise apart was the outstanding crew aboard the Celebrity Reflection. Their service was exceptional, and in Concierge class, they went above and beyond—assisting with group photos, resolving any needs, and even helping coordinate a surprise birthday celebration.
While this four-day getaway was short, it delivered a complete vacation experience—perfect for both seasoned and first-time cruisers. Celebrity Cruises and the Celebrity Reflection truly offer a wonderful getaway option.
