We’re Beyond Honored at South Main Iron
Some moments stop you in your tracks and remind you why you do what you do. Receiving Business of the Year at the 2025 Lamar County Chamber of Commerce Banquet was one of those moments for all of us at South Main Iron.
The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce banquet, now in its 122nd year, is more than just an annual event—it’s a celebration of history, progress, and the people who continue to invest their hearts and hard work into this community. To be recognized in a room filled with so many dedicated, passionate, and inspiring businesses was truly humbling. Lamar County is packed with people who show up every day, build something meaningful, and quietly make our community stronger. To stand among them is an honor we don’t take lightly.
South Main Iron began with a simple but powerful idea: create something different. Not just a dealership, but a place—one rooted in service, integrity, and genuine connection. From day one, our goal has never been just to sell motorcycles, UTVs, or equipment. It’s been about relationships. It’s been about trust. And it’s been about building something that adds value to downtown Paris and to the people who call this area home.
Over the years, we’ve grown—sometimes faster than expected—but we’ve always tried to grow the right way. That growth didn’t happen because of one decision or one big moment. It happened through countless small ones: staying late to help a customer, supporting a local event, giving a first job to a young employee, or saying “yes” to ideas that brought people together instead of pulling them apart. Those moments add up.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it reflects the collective effort of so many people. Our team—our South Main Iron family—shows up every single day with passion, pride, and an unmatched work ethic. They believe in what we’re building and treat customers like friends and neighbors, not transactions. This award belongs to them just as much as it does to the name on the sign.
It also belongs to our customers. Whether you’ve purchased your first motorcycle, trusted us with service work, attended one of our events, or simply stopped by to say hello—your support is the foundation of everything we do. We don’t exist without you, and we’re incredibly grateful for the loyalty and encouragement you continue to show us.
And then there’s the community itself. Lamar County has a way of rallying around its own. Local businesses supporting local businesses. Neighbors supporting neighbors. Events that bring people together not because they have to, but because they want to. Being part of that kind of community is something we never take for granted.
We’re proud of the role we get to play here—hosting events, supporting causes, contributing to local charities, and helping keep downtown Paris vibrant and alive. We believe strongly that businesses should be more than buildings and balance sheets. They should be active participants in the communities they serve.
Looking ahead, this recognition doesn’t feel like a finish line—it feels like motivation. Motivation to keep raising the bar, to keep innovating, and to keep showing up for this community that has given us so much. We’re excited about what’s ahead and committed to continuing to grow alongside Lamar County, not apart from it.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, to our fellow local businesses, to our customers, and to our South Main Iron family. We are beyond honored, deeply grateful, and proud to call this place home.
Here’s to many more years of serving, building, and growing together.
