Some people are practical when it comes to their beverages. Its palatability and/or caffeinated content are their primary concerns. While others have more nuanced sensibilities. Is it inventive and unique in style and taste? Does it hold to the standards of the coffee connoisseur, where measurement, timing, and craft affect the desired result? What kind of business and atmosphere is fostered for the consumer and community? Coffee culture amounts to what you want to drink, where you want to be, and who you are.
Where I live and when I travel, I look for coffee shops that capture a memorable, unique, and quality experience. When I am traveling there are typically quite a few places to choose from. Although I do often find repeating themes and atmospheres, they all have their own personalities. I look for an experience that represents the location and culture from where it originates, and of course the quality of their product is a must for my repeat business.
Panama City Beach has a small-town beach culture, filled with an eclectic blend of locals and visitors. The Pour is a coffee shop whose atmosphere is as unique as those who visit. We serve many loyal locals and many other visiting guests every year. In addition to our hand-crafted coffees, we also serve a wide variety of other hot or iced beverages. These include; matcha, freshly brewed teas, kombucha, smoothies, and many others. We also offer remarkable in-house baked goods, along with breakfast and lunch served all day. These include gluten free options as well.
As the seasons change, so do our drink specials… although, there are some specials that transcend our seasonal options and are requested all year long. The most notable being our signature special, the Teddy Roosevelt, which is a harmonious combination of real honey, vanilla, and cinnamon. Not to be outdone, is our Access 44. A pairing of salted caramel and white chocolate. Named after the beach access right next to us, it is a homage to the splendor of our world-famous beaches. A flavorful representation of our sun-kissed white sands and saltwater Gulf. Of course, no one is limited to our already established specials. We have a well-stocked arsenal of syrups, sauces, and spices, and are more than happy to fill any possible drink request.
We pride ourselves on our reasonably priced beverages and food. Keeping our customers happy is one of our top priorities. Coffee, Community and Compassion is our motto. Our other two priorities are what define us. We are a non-profit organization, and serving the community with compassion is our mission. Through our transitional housing program, our ministry has helped many struggling people to get back on their feet. Our homeless outreach provides daily meals, showers, and clothes to those on the fringe of society. This is who we are. We hope to provide you with what you want to drink, and where you’d like to be.
