AI Is Everywhere. Your Business Doesn’t Have to Rush.

Back to Articles

If someone in your family has started saying “let me ask ChatGPT” instead of Googling something, you’ve already seen the shift. Dinner table debates about the best restaurant, homework help, even medical questions are now going to an AI chatbot first. This behaviour is happening in living rooms everywhere, and it’s happening fast.

That same shift is hitting businesses. Every week there’s a new AI tool, a new platform, a new promise. The pressure to “get on AI” feels urgent. But moving fast without a clear plan can waste money, create business risks, and solve problems you don’t actually have.

The smarter move? Slow down and think.

Before investing in any AI solution, ask yourself two questions. What’s my biggest business pain right now? And where’s my biggest opportunity to grow? AI should serve those answers, not the other way around.

The technology changes weekly. The tool you buy today might be outdated in three months. Understanding what AI can do matters more than picking a product right now.

Starting with your website is a smart business move as it’s probably the easiest business asset to make AI-ready and the one most likely to show fast returns. AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews are changing how customers find businesses. If your site isn’t structured for that shift, you’re becoming invisible.

You don’t need to become a tech expert. You need to become an informed decision-maker. That’s exactly why AI Week (June 1-7, 2026) exists. It’s a global movement where people stop being spectators and start shaping how AI enters our lives. As the lead of the AI Collective’s West Palm Beach chapter, I’ll be hosting a local event on June 3. Details coming soon.
