The Golf Season Doesn’t End in November

  • Copied!

By November, Edmonton golfers have usually packed away their clubs. The fairways are closed, the days are shorter, and spring feels far off. At Gimme Virtual Golf, you can keep playing through the winter—and use the months ahead to work on your game.

Located in west Edmonton, Gimme offers private rooms equipped with Golfzon TwoVision+ simulators. Choose from more than 240 courses, including Pebble Beach and St Andrews, and play a round with friends without checking the forecast first. The private setting gives your group space to settle in, take turns and enjoy. It also makes an indoor round approachable for someone trying golf for the first time.

What sets Gimme apart is how much attention its simulators pay to the shots between the tee and the green. A moving swing plate changes the angle beneath your feet to reflect an uneven lie, while different hitting surfaces recreate the feel of fairway, rough and bunker shots. The automatic tee-up system keeps play moving, and the simulator provides feedback on your swing and ball flight after each shot. It’s a chance to enjoy a full round while seeing details you might miss on the course.

That feedback can make November a useful starting point for next season. Instead of waiting until April to discover that your driver is still drifting right, you can practice regularly, try an adjustment and see what happens. Indoor golf also offers consistent conditions: no wind, no fading daylight, and no need to rush through the last few holes before the temperature drops.

You don’t have to arrive with a practice plan, though. Book a room for a friendly round, introduce a family member to the game or bring colleagues together for an outing that gets everyone involved. Gimme offers food and drinks, and its private rooms can accommodate small groups; larger groups can book connected rooms. Clubs are available to rent if you don’t have your own.

For golfers who like a little competition, Gimme’s winter league begins November 2. Teams play an 18-hole scramble each week, selecting their best shot before playing the next. The format lets newer and experienced golfers contribute to the same round. With live standings in the Golfzon app, league play gives you a reason to get together regularly long after Edmonton’s outdoor season has ended.

The appeal of indoor golf is simple: you can keep the part of winter you like—time with friends, an evening out, a goal to work toward—while leaving the cold outside. Whether you want to sharpen your swing or play a course you’ve always wanted to visit, Gimme gives you a place to do it all season.
