Reaching out for mental health support can be difficult enough without having to worry about whether therapy fits within your budget.
At Mindwise Mental Health Services, we believe financial circumstances should not prevent someone from receiving meaningful, professional support. That belief led us to create our Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) counselling program for individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy.
People seek counselling for many different reasons. Anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, low self-esteem, overwhelming stress and major life changes can affect anyone.
Sometimes a person needs support during a particularly challenging period. At other times, they may want a safe place to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies or work toward lasting change.
Our PWYC program allows clients to choose a fee that reflects their current financial circumstances. No financial documentation is required, and every client receives the same respect, professionalism and compassionate care.
One of the most important features of the program is that there is no predetermined limit on the number of sessions a client can attend. We understand that therapy is not a quick or predictable process. While some people may find a small number of sessions helpful, others benefit from continued support. Clients can participate for as long as therapy remains appropriate and beneficial.
Affiliated with Bodywise Health & Rehab, Mindwise was built upon a whole-person view of wellness. Physical and emotional health are closely connected, and both deserve proper attention and care. Supporting mental health can help people manage challenges, strengthen relationships, build resilience and feel less alone in what they are experiencing.
We are proud to offer a program that makes counselling more accessible to individuals and families in our community. Asking for help should not be reserved for those who can comfortably afford standard therapy fees.
If cost has been preventing you from considering counselling, the Pay-What-You-Can program may be an option for you.
