The Energy Storage System Incentive

Here’s how the BC Hydro incentive works: it offers a rebate of up to 80% of the cost of purchasing and installing new energy storage systems. The total amount of money is calculated based on the kW or kWh of storage added to a given property. The business can then use these energy storage systems, but must also make the system available to the energy grid for use in meeting flexible demands.
