Celebrating Purpose, Passion, and Peace with Fountains of Franklin

Back to Articles

Locally owned by a group of community leaders and operated by GoodWorks Unlimited, LLC, Fountains of Franklin continues to embody its mission of faith-driven care. GoodWorks was founded by Gary and Ricki Keckley, a Franklin-based family whose leadership has guided and managed more than 100 senior living communities across the Southeast over the past 30 years. Today, GoodWorks owns and operates 26 senior living communities throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, each one built on a foundation of love, service, and community connection.

For Gary and Ricki, this work is more than a business. It is a calling. Longtime residents of Williamson County for over 40 years, the Keckleys raised their three children here and have devoted their lives to giving back to the community that has given them so much. Inspired by Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do,” they founded GoodWorks in 2000 as a way to live out their faith through service. They often say, “We have been told we are working in God’s waiting room,” a gentle reminder of the sacred privilege of caring for those in their later years.

At Fountains of Franklin, residents experience a comprehensive senior living community that offers independent living villas, assisted living, and specialized memory care. Every aspect of the community is thoughtfully designed to encourage independence, dignity, and joy. From the screened porches and sunrooms, perfect for morning coffee, growing flowers, and bird watching, to the warm dining spaces and vibrant activity calendar, life at the Fountains feels like home.

“I am inspired every day by our residents, their stories, their humor, and their wisdom. It is a joy to help families find a place their loved ones can call home.”

The Fountains’ dedicated leadership team shares that same sense of purpose. Pat Caron, Executive Director, brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and senior living. Laurie Evans Ross, Community Relations Director, is one of several long-term team members whose compassion and consistency anchor the Fountains family. Jane Bowden, Activities Director, curates a full schedule of engaging events and meaningful outings that keep residents active and connected. Donna Raybon, Executive Chef, brings global flavor and creativity to the table. Crystal Johnson, Director of Nursing, brings her medical expertise in senior living to oversee the care for our residents, while Will Madrid, Property Manager, ensures the community remains beautiful, well cared for and safe.

As the Fountains continues to grow, the campus is preparing for new expansion projects that will create more opportunities for residents to thrive, including enhanced outdoor spaces and updated amenities that reflect today’s best in senior living design. Through it all, Gary and Ricki remain deeply rooted in their mission. “At the Fountains of Franklin, we have been welcomed with open arms by this community, and we never take that for granted,” they share. “Our passion gives us purpose, and our purpose gives us peace. To be able to serve those who came before us is truly a privilege and a blessing.”

After more than 12 years, one thing remains constant: the Fountains of Franklin is more than a place to live. It is a place to love, grow, and find peace in every season of life.
