Coltrain Garden Center: Pitt County’s Newest Destination for Plant Lovers and Garden Enthusiasts

Greenville, get ready to dig into something fresh!

Coltrain Garden Center, announced earlier this year, is finally approaching its finish line after months of transformation. What started as a barebones concrete building in the heart of small-town Ayden has been completely reimagined, with new garage doors, a roof, a bathroom, HVAC, and all the touches needed to make it a welcoming destination for plant lovers and garden enthusiasts alike.

While we’re still in a soft opening phase, visitors are already enjoying a shopping experience designed to delight all senses. From lush houseplants to charming home and yard décor, garden flags that show off your personality, and all the essentials for a thriving garden—fertilizers, insecticides, weed killers, rain gauges, thermometers, garden tools, pottery, and seeds sold by the ounce—our shelves are filled with quality products to help your garden flourish.

A highlight of the center is our soil bar, where you can create your own custom potting mixes with a variety of amendments tailored for your houseplants. Whether you’re starting seedlings, refreshing a favorite planter, or experimenting with exotic varieties, this interactive experience brings gardening creativity to your fingertips.

Join us for our Grand Opening on February 28th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring giveaways, special sales, and a chance to explore everything Coltrain Garden Center has to offer. It’s an event that combines beauty, practicality, and community—perfect for inspiring your spring gardening projects.

Whether you’re an experienced horticulturist or just beginning your gardening journey, Coltrain Garden Center invites you to stop by, discover, and grow with us. After months of hard work and transformation, your perfect plant—or gardening solution—awaits.
