Stress-Free Holiday Returns at the Doylestown UPS Store
Have a holiday gift to return this year? No problem. Here at the UPS Store in Doylestown, we are your return center during the month of January, as well as year-round.
We recognize that people are returning more and more items these days. The UPS Store team would like to spend a little time helping ensure everyone is educated to make the returns process as smooth as possible for the customer in the new year.
The first step is to make sure you start your return before you come into the store. The most common type of returns we see at the store are from Amazon. To return an item on Amazon, simply find the item in your orders that you want to return and click on “Return or Replace items.” Follow the steps of simple questions and explain to Amazon why you want to return the item as well as how you would like to be refunded.
This next step is crucial. Amazon will ask you “How you would like to return your items?” What they really mean is WHERE. Be sure to choose The UPS Store. Sometimes we are not listed in the top options, so click on the “view 4 more return options” button and choose the UPS Store. Once you choose the UPS Store, it will ask you WHICH UPS Store you want to go to. Choose our store on Veterans Lane in Doylestown and confirm your return. Once completed, Amazon should provide you with a QR code on the next screen. You can enlarge this by clicking on the QR code if on your phone. One tip is to take a screenshot on your phone for easy access later.
Now that you have the QR code, the next step is to understand HOW to return your item. Right below the QR code there will be some very important text. It will either say “No Box No Label” or “Customer Packed.” See screenshots below as examples.
For “No Box No Label,” this means you do NOT need any sort of packaging and can bring the item in as is. For example, if it is a stapler, just bring in the stapler itself and we will take care of it from there. The “No Box No Label” tends to be for smaller items.
If it says “Customer Packed,” this means the vendor is expecting their item to be returned in a cardboard box or a bag, not in its original packaging. This allows them to resell it and not ruin the original packaging. Original packaging is what you would see on a store shelf, not the shipping cardboard container. If you don’t have the original cardboard shipping container anymore, no worries. Just bring your item in and we can sell you a bag or box and tape it up for you.
Another popular return process is called “Happy Returns.” Happy Returns are associated primarily with Levi’s, Lands’ End, Shein and Forever 21. Those items should NOT be packaged and can simply be brought into our store. We do ask that you keep the original tags attached, as Happy Returns asks us to scan the original UPC code on the tags.
