Westwood IV Therapy Achieves ACHC Accreditation: A Milestone We’re Truly Proud Of

We are so excited to share that Westwood IV Therapy has officially earned accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). This milestone means the world to us as a small, local business built on trust, safety, and exceptional nursing care.

For those who may not be familiar, ACHC accreditation is a nationally recognized “gold standard” in healthcare. It means that an independent organization comes in and reviews every aspect of how we operate, including how medications are stored and prepared, the safety of our clinical protocols, how we document care, how we train staff, how we protect patient information, and how we respond to emergencies. It is a rigorous, detailed process designed to ensure that organizations are meeting the same high standards you would expect from major healthcare systems and hospitals.

To say we’re proud of this achievement is an understatement. We worked incredibly hard for it, but even more importantly, it reflects something that has always mattered to us: doing things the right way.

For our team, this accreditation is personal. Our nurses are some of the most skilled clinicians in the area, working in Boston’s top hospitals in their ERs and ICUs, and serving as flight nurses with Boston MedFlight. These incredible nurses are highly trained, bringing not only their clinical expertise but also warmth, kindness, and genuine care into every home they enter. They treat every client as if they were caring for a family member, and that is something you simply can’t teach. Earning ACHC accreditation validates the level of professionalism, safety, and consistency they deliver every single day.

What makes this achievement even more meaningful is what it offers our community. When you invite a nurse into your home, trust is everything. You deserve to know that the team caring for you is following the highest standards in skill, safety, ethics, documentation, emergency preparedness, and client rights. Accreditation provides that reassurance.
