Level Up This Spring Break: Tabletop Game Camps for Anchorage Kids
At Tier 1 Cards & Games, we believe that the best gaming moments happen face-to-face, when friends gather around a table, roll dice together, strategize side-by-side, and build memories that last way longer than any screen time ever could. That’s exactly what we’re bringing to your kids this March with three half-day game camps designed to ignite imagination, teach real skills, and connect young people through the power of tabletop gaming.
Why These Camps Matter
Games aren’t just entertainment. They’re bridges. They connect kids who might never talk otherwise. They teach strategy, patience, problem-solving, and how to win (and lose!!) with grace. In a world that’s constantly pushing us toward isolation and screens, we’re creating space for the opposite… real connection, real conversations, and real friendship forged over cards, dice, and miniatures.

The Fun Part!
Each camp runs from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., giving you a manageable morning commitment and your young gamer an unforgettable experience. We’re keeping groups small, mentorship strong, and scene welcoming for both total beginners and seasoned players.
- Tuesday, March 10 – Collectible Card Games Camp
This is where young strategists learn the fundamentals of deckbuilding, reading the board, and making smart plays under pressure. Whether your kid loves Pokémon, Magic, or any other TCG, they’ll walk away with sharper skills, more confidence, and new friends who share their passion.
- Wednesday, March 11 – Tabletop War Games Camp
Miniature wargaming is like… chess meets action figures. It’s tactical thinking, spatial reasoning, and creative storytelling all wrapped into one hobby. Campers will learn movement, terrain tactics, and how to command armies with strategy and style.
- Thursday, March 12 – Dungeons & Dragons Camp
This is the one that changes kids. D&D teaches collaboration, creative problem-solving, and how to tell stories together. Our experienced game masters will guide your young adventurer through character creation, teamwork challenges, and epic quests where everyone’s voice matters.
