Right at Home Woodstock proudly sponsors Memory Grounds, a dementia café serving Cherokee County, Georgia. Memory Grounds meets on the second Friday of each month at 2:00 PM at the Canton Senior Center, located at 1001 Univeter Road, Canton, Georgia 30115.
Since October 2025, Memory Grounds has welcomed individuals living with dementia, family caregivers, and community members who want to learn more about dementia. Each session features a guest speaker and an interactive activity designed for people with dementia and their caregivers to participate in together.
Topics at Memory Grounds have included art therapy, exercises that support neuroplasticity, tapping into sensory memories, and the use of compassionate touch to strengthen connection. These experiences provide practical tools families can use at home to improve engagement and reduce stress or anxiety.
