Enzo, Cooper, and Coco: That’s Goodrich Service, Dog
When you first enter Goodrich Flooring on 45th South in Murray, you can expect to be greeted by the warm welcomes of the Goodrich family–the fastest of whom are arguably their three best employees: Enzo, Cooper, and Coco. All equally small in stature, and always eager to give tours around the showroom. They may not know how to use the register or have the opposing thumbs needed to install beautiful new flooring, but, paws down, they will offer their assistance in any way possible.
Goodrich’s “K-9 CEO”, Enzo, recently enrolled in evening classes, in training to become a service dog. When he and Mom/owner, Laurie, close the shop and head home for the day, Enzo’s second shift begins. He has already become proficient with tasks such as picking up chew toys, cleaning the food bowls, and even taking mom’s socks off! As Laurie explained with pride, he’s a fast learner and so intuitive in knowing when help is needed.
Walk around the store and you’ll notice strategically placed doggy beds. This is crucial for their success. How else would they get any sleep on the job? The Goodrich family opened their doors in 1995, built from the ground up with the help of friends and family, big and small. Craig Goodrich was the brilliant mastermind behind it all for 30 years; his legacy and love continue to live on through his wife and daughters. These dogs are so loved, as is the store. When things are held with such great care, it certainly shows
