This cozier color palette still feels elevated, but it brings a warmth and inviting quality that people are really craving right now. Another is for spaces that feel uniquely ‘them’ — curated, intentional, and tailored to their lifestyle. It’s all about creating a solution that reflects who they are and how they want it to perform. Is there a recent project you’re particularly proud of?
One that really stands out was a primary bedroom makeover. The clients had two simple, side‑by‑side reach‑in closets that were the first and last things they saw each day — a sight they couldn’t stand. Also, their clothing was spread across multiple closets in the home, so they wanted to bring it all together. In this case, the answer was a custom wardrobe that covered both closet openings. But it didn’t just hide the closets — we expanded them. We replaced inefficient closet organizers with fully optimized smart systems that made every inch count. We added extra hanging space, a full drawer stack, and plenty of hooks for belts, ties, and purses. In the end, we were able to bring all of their belongings together into one beautifully organized, fully functional space. It completely changed the look and feel of the room. We even joked and called it Narnia, because once you open the “wardrobe,” there’s a world of storage hidden inside.
What is something often overlooked when planning for a custom closet?
Clients often underestimate just how much potential their spaces really have. One of my favorite parts of the design process is taking an area someone assumes is too small, too awkward, or too hopeless, and turning it into something far beyond what they imagined. I love maximizing every inch of available space and tailoring it to their needs — whether that means going vertical, rethinking an odd corner, or transforming a forgotten nook into something genuinely useful.
