Over the years, veterinary care has changed quite a bit from what many of us remember as kids — loading the family pet into the car for a trip to the neighborhood vet. In many ways, these changes have been incredibly positive. Advances in medicine now allow us to diagnose and treat conditions that we simply couldn’t address even a decade ago. At the same time, more families than ever are welcoming pets into their homes, especially in the years following COVID, and the demand for veterinary care has grown right alongside them.

I started Lotus Animal Hospital in honor of my soul dog, Stitch. After your appointment, you’ll receive an email with a detailed summary of your visit, including follow-up expectations. We know there’s often a lot of information discussed in the exam room, and it can be difficult to remember everything — especially during emotional conversations.

For many families, the difference is felt in the small moments — not having to reintroduce your pet or retell their story at each visit, knowing the person on the other end of the phone is familiar with your concerns, or feeling comfortable asking questions without worrying that you’re taking up too much time.
