People often ask me what makes Altomonte’s catering different. The truth? It’s not the food alone—though that certainly matters. It’s why we cook the way we do.
I grew up in our family’s Italian market. My father was a butcher, my mother a cook who believed feeding people was a form of love and our kitchen was the heartbeat of our home. Every celebration, every gathering, every moment that mattered happened around a table. That belief has never left us.
When someone trusts us to cater their event—whether it’s a milestone birthday, a graduation, a baby shower, or a memorial—it’s never “just an order.” It’s personal.
At Altomonte’s, catering starts the same way it does in an Italian home: with intention. We think about who’s coming, how the food will be served and how it will make people feel. Comfort matters—but so does una bella figura, an Italian expression meaning “to make a beautiful impression.” It’s about generosity, presentation, warmth and thoughtfulness. The food should arrive looking abundant, taste exceptional and make guests feel genuinely cared for.
Our menus are rooted in tradition—hand-rolled meatballs, slow-simmered sauces, thoughtfully prepared antipasti—but designed for real life. They travel well, serve beautifully and are made with the same ingredients we sell in our market every day. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just honest food prepared by people who care.
A few tips I always share with hosts:
