We specialize in things like lighting and light fixture upgrades, electrical panel upgrades, bathroom and kitchen remodels, EV chargers, hot tub and RV power, Whole home grounding and surge protection, whole home back up generators etc. We also love to just help people get their power back on when things aren’t working correctly.
I have been in the electrical field for 11 years, and started this business in 2016. I came into the field while in school for structural engineering, but quickly found after spending the day with a master electrician that I wanted to pursue this as a career. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and saw electrical work as the vehicle to exercise that passion.
I feel like Luminous Electric may be a little unique in its philosophy. Rather than a philosophy that puts the client as the top priority (“the customer is always right” or “the customer is king”), we first prioritize investing in and caring for our people. I believe that if we are properly equipping and caring for our team (mentoring, walking alongside and developing), the natural effect will be that they learn to truly care for our clients. I see the traditional method (customer is king) as trying to force an “outside in” change that is unnatural. Rather, our approach (Prioritizing our people first) produces a natural “inside out” change in the way we do business.
My biggest motivating factor in business and in life comes from my faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that we are called to join Yahweh as co-laborers in His work to bring about the redemption of all things. That all work, no matter how seemingly mundane or insignificant, done unto the Father, has significant and eternal impact for His kingdom. I also believe that His kingdom is furthered not by acts of force or conquering, but by deeds of love and mercy. What I enjoy most about my work is the analytical aspect of identifying and solving problems!
I would mainly share my gratitude for the continuous support we have received from the community over the last 10 years. People‘s willingness to trust us, even when my industry as a whole has not always inspired confidence. The truth is that there are a lot of really great people out there who are honest and hard-working and trustworthy. I know it can be hard sometimes to find those people, but they are out there.
I have a wonderful wife and three amazing kids. Our youngest, we just welcomed into the world last week! The other two are 5 and 2 1/2. We also have a golden doodle who keeps everyone on their toes. Our free time is usually filled by spending time outside, playing board games, putting together a puzzle, or my eldest’s newest favorite past time, breaking rocks with a hammer!
