Meet the Team of Heber’s Own, Gordon Law

Corbin Gordon, Attorney

A fifth-generation Wasatch County resident, Corbin Gordon returned to his hometown after graduating from the University of Utah Law School to build a legal practice rooted in community service. He has developed extensive experience in water law, real estate law, corporate law, criminal defense, mediation, civil litigation, and estate planning.

Corbin has participated in numerous jury trials and appeals before the Utah Supreme Court. His work has included representing judges before the Judicial Conduct Commission and collaborating with the Utah State Engineer’s Office on water rights matters.

He remains actively involved in the Wasatch County community. Corbin is a founding member and past president of the Wasatch County Bar Association, past chair of the Wasatch Community Foundation, and served as spokesperson for the mayor-appointed Big Box Committee. He also serves on an ethics review board for the Utah Bar’s Office of Professional Conduct.

Corbin graduated from Wasatch High School in 1991, where he served as student body president. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in 1998, majoring in English with a minor in Business Administration, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah in 2001 as a Leary Scholar (Top 20%).

Outside the office, Corbin enjoys writing music and playing in a band. He and his wife, Heather, enjoy spending time outdoors with their four children.

Joshua D. Jewkes, Attorney

Joshua D. Jewkes brings extensive national litigation experience to his practice. After earning his law degree from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, graduating magna cum laude and in the top 10 percent of his class, Josh began his career at the international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago.

While practicing in Chicago and later Atlanta, he focused on complex business litigation involving breach of contract, torts, products liability, employment matters, construction disputes, real estate, and insurance coverage. His work included representing financial institutions, manufacturers, and corporate clients in individual lawsuits, class actions, and complex litigation nationwide.

In 2012, Josh moved with his family to Heber Valley, expanding his practice to include criminal defense, estate planning, and business transactions while continuing to apply the litigation experience gained at large national firms.

Josh was recognized as a “Rising Star” in Georgia Super Lawyers from 2012 through 2015. He is admitted to practice in Utah, Georgia, and Illinois, as well as several federal district and appellate courts. He also serves as secretary of the Wasatch County Bar Association.

A graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in International Politics, Josh speaks Swedish, German, and Dutch. He and his wife, Dagmar, who holds a Ph.D. in biomechanical engineering, are raising their four children in Heber Valley.

Marie Bramwell, Attorney

Marie Bramwell has practiced law in Heber Valley for more than a decade, working extensively in both Wasatch and Utah counties. Her practice focuses on family law, including adoptions, divorce, and post-divorce modifications, as well as criminal defense, business law, and civil litigation.

She also handles matters involving water law, property disputes, boundary and easement issues, landlord-tenant matters, child welfare cases, and contract disputes.

Before entering private practice, Marie served as a law clerk for Judges Guy R. Burningham and Ray M. Harding Sr. in the Fourth District Court from 1999 to 2001.

Originally from Washington State, Marie earned both her undergraduate degree in International Relations and her law degree from Brigham Young University, where she received honors in Moot Court Brief Writing.

She values the opportunity to serve individuals and families throughout the Heber Valley community.

Quinney College of Law, graduating with honors from both institutions.

McKay joined Gordon Law Group in 2020 and has developed a wide-ranging practice with substantial courtroom experience. His work focuses on estate planning, probate, criminal defense, family law, municipal law, and real estate.

He currently serves as President of the Wasatch County Bar Association.

Outside the office, McKay enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashlyn, and their two young sons.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business in 2020 and worked as a high school business teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His interest in law grew from helping his grandparents navigate decisions about their family ranch, where he saw firsthand how thoughtful estate planning could protect family assets and legacy.

Chase later attended Texas Tech School of Law, gaining practical experience in estate planning, trial advocacy, and civil practice through the school’s Civil Practice Clinic. He graduated cum laude in 2025, earning the top grade in both Estate Planning and Water Law.
