Carol earned her real estate license in 2006 and joined Samson Properties in 2015. In 2023, she made the decision to focus full-time on growing Ready Steady Real Estate, retiring from her role as Director of Partner Programs with the American Society of Civil Engineers. That transition allowed her to fully embrace both her passion for real estate and her work as a fine artist – two disciplines that shape her distinctive approach.
For nearly two decades, Carol worked alongside CEOs, engineers, and senior leaders responsible for complex projects, large budgets, and long-term planning. That experience deeply informs how she serves her clients today. She approaches each transaction with preparation, patience, and respect for the weight of the decisions involved. Naturally analytical, Carol studies details, asks the hard questions, and anticipates issues before they arise. At the same time, her background as an artist allows her to recognize the emotional and intuitive side of buying and selling a home.

One recent reminder of why she loves her work came when a couple casually began house hunting, not expecting to buy right away. The right home appeared sooner than expected, and just three weeks later, Carol stood beside them at closing.
A Northern Virginia resident for more than 30 years, Carol has called Nokesville home for the past 25. You’ll often find her walking her dog around Vint Hill, meeting clients in Haymarket, Gainesville, or Warrenton, or enjoying local restaurants and breweries with her husband. She’s also deeply committed to sustainability, holding the REALTOR® GREEN Designation and working toward her ENV SP credential, with a focus on environmentally responsible home choices that support long-term value across Virginia.
