A Highwood business leader receives one of the region’s most distinguished honors for women in entrepreneurship.

Anna Maria Viti-Welch, principal of The Viti Companies, was named Woman Business Owner of the Year at Women Mean Business®: NAWBO Chicago’s Regional Entrepreneurial Conference & 43rd Annual Fundraiser — one of the most prestigious recognitions awarded to women entrepreneurs in the Chicago region.

The honor was presented on April 29 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Oak Brook, where hundreds of business leaders gathered for a full day of education, networking, and celebration. The award recognizes an exemplary NAWBO member whose business achievements, organizational commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit serve as an inspiration to women in business at every stage of their journey.

For the Viti family — a cornerstone of the Highwood business community for generations — the recognition reflects decades of dedication, principled leadership, and a deep investment in the fabric of the North Shore community.

The National Association of Women Business Owners, founded in 1975, serves as a global beacon for women in business, championing economic development, advocacy, mentorship, and opportunity. To learn more, visit www.nawbochicago.org.

Highland Park Neighbors congratulates Anna Maria Viti-Welch on this well-deserved honor.
