Clean Up, Slow Down: It’s Time to Reset Your Routine

Back to Articles

You know what happens every spring? Whether you realize it or not, you start to take a closer look in the mirror.

After a long winter, most guys are ready for a reset.

We talked back in February about skincare and how taking care of your skin isn’t just about looking good, but feeling your best. Now’s the time to step things up with your hair because it’s not just about maintenance anymore. You need to take some time for yourself.

One of the biggest differences we see between a quick haircut and a true grooming experience is simple: intention. A walk-in haircut gets the job done, but when you actually schedule time for yourself, when you put it on your calendar, you’re giving yourself permission to slow down, reset, and walk out feeling like the best version of you.

That’s what a fine men’s salon is all about.

At 18|8, it’s not just the haircut, but the full experience surrounding it. It’s the shampoo that wakes you up and clears your head. It’s the hot towel on your face that forces you to stop thinking about everything else for a few minutes. It’s the attention to detail that turns a routine trim into a style that actually fits your look, lifestyle, and personality.

When else do you get to unplug without distractions, relaxing while someone focuses entirely on helping you look your best?  You can’t tell me this doesn’t sound good!

If you have a beard, there’s nothing better than a professional trim and style. Let us do the work for you.

Now’s the perfect time to build some “me time” into your schedule. You’ve got events coming up like graduations, parties, nights out, golf trips, barbeques. You’re seeing more people, taking more photos, and being more social. You can approach these events with a different attitude and confidence when you look sharp and feel refreshed.

There’s a difference between, “I got a haircut” and, “I feel put together.” It’s subtle, but it carries into everything else you do. As we head into the spring and summer months, think of your grooming routine the same way you think about anything else that improves your life: something worth planning for.

Make the appointment. Take the time. Enjoy the experience. You’ll walk out looking better, but more importantly, you’ll walk out feeling better.
