We have been told by our friends, family, and other travel advisors that Budapest, Vienna, and Prague are the most beautiful cities in the world. Last year, I wrote about group space we reserved on a Viking River Cruise, and our journey to visit these three cities so that we can decide once and for all which gets our vote for most beautiful city. We will begin our journey by sailing the Danube River on the Viking Bragi River Cruise Ship from Budapest, Hungary to Passau, Germany. The Itinerary includes stops at Bratislava, Slovakia, Vienna, Austria, Krems, Austria, and Linz, Austria. After we complete our one-week river cruise, we will continue onto a three-night post-package tour of Prague.
After private transfer from Passau to our Hotel in Prague, our adventure in Prague will begin with a tour of the Old Town Square, the Old Town Hall Tower, and admission into the famed Astronomical Clock built in 1410. As we do a guided walking tour of the city, we will see other major sights such as the Old Royal Palace, St. Nicholas Church, and the Charles Bridge.
Day two in Prague will include a lunch cruise through the city with free time afterwards for personal exploration. That evening, we will do a three-hour food tour in Old Town Prague, tasting local cuisine samples to satisfy our dinner appetite.
On day three, we will be taken by private coach to the famous Prague Castle where we tour the Castle, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, Golden Lane, and St. Vitus Cathedral. Afterwards, we will be able to have free time for lunch and touring the city.
