Tucked right here in our community, Hestóvin Stables is more than just a horse barn. It’s a place where lives are changed, confidence is built, and connections are formed in the most unexpected ways. Many neighbors drive by without realizing the incredible work happening just beyond the fence line, and we’re excited to share a glimpse of our story with you.
Who We Are
Hestóvin Stables is a nonprofit therapeutic riding center dedicated to serving individuals of all ages and abilities. Through carefully designed individualized one-to-one adaptive riding lesson, we help riders build strength, balance, communication skills, and self-confidence. Whether it’s a child taking their first independent steps or an adult finding peace and purpose, our horses become partners in powerful, life-changing journeys.
What We’ve Accomplished
So Far Since opening our doors just three years ago, we have grown in ways we could have only dreamed of. We now serve a vibrant and diverse group of riders each week, supported by a dedicated team of staff and an incredible community of volunteers. We’ve hosted seasonal events, launched literacy-based programs like Reading-to-a-Horse and Books and Bridles, and recently made exciting progress on our outdoor arena which will expand our ability to serve even more participants year-round. We have expanded our herd from four horses to six, each playing a vital role in our programs and helping bring our mission to life. These incredible partners make it possible for us to serve more individuals and create meaningful, life-changing experiences every day. Every milestone we’ve reached has been made possible by the generosity, trust, and deep connections we share with this incredible community.

At Hestóvin Stables, we believe the magic is in the details. Our horses are not just well-trained but they are carefully matched with riders based on personality, needs, and goals. Each session is thoughtfully structured, blending therapeutic benefits with one-on-on private riding and onground horsemanship lessons. What truly sets us apart is the environment we’ve created: one that feels less like a program and more like a place to belong. Our clients aren’t just participants, they’re part of the barn family. From the moment they arrive, they are seen, valued, and celebrated.
