At Noted, we often think about creativity less as a talent and more as personal care, something that helps people reconnect with themselves in a world that rarely slows down.

That philosophy is one reason Lisa Daria Kennedy’s work resonates so deeply with our community. Through her ongoing “Embrace the Practice” series, Lisa has committed to painting every day for more than 6,000 consecutive days, using creativity as a way to process life, stay present, and keep showing up.

Her message is simple but powerful: creativity is not reserved for artists or experts. It begins with consistency.

In many ways, we’ve been conditioned to think creativity must be polished, productive, or worthy of being shared publicly. But some of the most meaningful creative experiences happen quietly, in sketchbooks, workshops, kitchens, and community spaces where the focus is on process rather than perfection.

That mindset has shaped how we approach workshops, gallery programming, and community at Noted. We believe people are craving spaces where they can make something with their hands, experiment without pressure, and focus on being present rather than perfect. We “walk the walk” by delivering opportunities for creative expression, whether through our monthly candle-making classes, visiting artist workshops, or our newest “choose your own adventure” creative outlet, Make Space.

Be sure to join Lisa at The Classroom at Noted for her upcoming full-day painting workshop on June 13. More information and registration can be found at Noted.
