Today, we are proud to celebrate Gabby and Olivia, two of our talented program graduates who are now state-licensed cosmetologists and continuing their journeys behind the chair as part of the Blown Away salon family.

Gabby’s Journey
Gabby describes her time at Blown Away Academy as everything she hoped for and more.

Gabby’s favorite part has been bringing everything she learned in the academy to life behind the chair.
“My favorite part has been taking everything I learned in the classroom and on the academy floor and applying it behind the chair, continuing to grow with each client I see.”
She also openly shares the normal challenge of overcoming self-doubt as a new stylist.
“The most challenging part has been overcoming moments of self-doubt and feeling like, ‘Am I really ready for this?’ But the support and encouragement from the team constantly remind me to trust my skills and step confidently into my role.”
Olivia’s Experience
Olivia’s experience at Blown Away Academy was equally inspiring and impactful.
“My experience at Blown Away Academy was truly nothing but amazing. The education, hands-on training, and support from the instructors prepared me so well for my career behind the chair.”

One of her favorite parts has been the relationships she has built with clients and coworkers.
“I love everyone I work with, and being part of such a supportive salon family every day has made the experience even better. My favorite part has been building connections and meeting new clients—it’s so rewarding to create relationships while doing what I love.”
