In the heart of Geneva, something quietly impactful is happening every day at the South Street campus of Chapelstreet Church. Shepherd’s Heart Care Center has become a trusted place for individuals and families to find support, connection, and practical help during difficult seasons.
Shepherd’s Heart is designed to meet real, everyday needs. People come for food, financial guidance, job support, and other resources to help them take the next steps. The focus is simple and clear: provide help in a way that is respectful, organized, and centered on each person’s situation.
In addition to these core services, Shepherd’s Heart offers support through its Compassion in Action ministry, which connects individuals with resources during times of crisis. Whether someone is facing a sudden financial setback, job loss, or another unexpected challenge, the goal is to respond quickly and thoughtfully. Volunteers also assist with next steps, helping people navigate situations that can often feel complicated or uncertain.
The scope of care is wide. The food pantry provides groceries, toiletries, and essentials to families. The Baby Boutique supports families with clothing, diapers, and supplies for children up to 24 months. Job coaching and budgeting assistance help individuals build a plan for greater stability, while the legal clinic offers guidance for situations that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Each of these services is practical, accessible, and designed to meet needs in a straightforward way.
