In 2020, Madison adopted a bird safety glass standard for all projects over 10,000 sqr ft. Now our local architects, glazing professionals, and building owners are increasingly seeking proven, practical, and flexible solutions. Madisons code 28.129 Bird Safe Vision Glass requires that any new or modification to a structure 10,000 sqr ft or larger be provided with Bird Safe glass on any glass surface in excess of 100 sqr ft including mullions under 6” up to 60’ above the ground. Additionally requiring any fly through possible corner conditions to any altitude to have bird safe glass.

Glass railing and skywalks are also included in the requirements.
